LOCATION & ACCESS
Ufumene is +- 90 km northeast of the city Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth) and 60 km west of Makhanda (Grahamstown) near Alicedale in the Eastern Cape Province, South Africa. Your retreat will take place on private conservation land. This means public access is restricted, and you have space and privacy.
The ranch is 12 km north-east of the renowned Addo Elephant National Park’s eastern extent and approximately 10 km north-west of Indalo Protected Environment’s northern extent (including Shamwari and Amakhala Game Reserves) and a slew of other reserves.

Port Elizabeth Airport is approximately 90 km away, with a drive taking around 1 hour and 15 minutes to reach the lodge.
We provide complimentary transfers from this airport. Depending on your flight times, if you need to sleep over in Johannesburg, we recommend where to stay and a transfer to get you there. We are also happy to advise you on which flight works best for travel to the lodge. When we take you to the airport at the end of the stay, we can add a few hours for shopping if you’d like to pick up some souvenirs for your trip home.
