Transport

Customers will be picked up at the nearest airport and driven to the lodge. Our customers have the option to charter an aeroplane at their own cost.

Weather

Our summer months run from October to April, with temperatures varying from 25 degrees Celsius to 40 degrees Celsius. Summer is our rainy season.
Our winter months run from May to October, with temperatures ranging from -5 degrees Celsius to 30 degrees Celsius. Early mornings and evenings can be very cold, often experiencing frost.

Clothing

Clothing should be as comfortable as possible. Mornings and evenings can be cold so good jackets will be needed.
Make sure you have a comfortable pair of boots with ankle support. A second pair of boots is always useful in case you happen to get your one pair of boots wet.

  • Spare camera batteries or charger
  • Memory card for a camera

  • First aid kit with personal medication

  • Protective sun lotion

Medical Requirements

  • No vaccines are needed to enter South Africa
  • Medical air rescues are available throughout the country in cases of emergency
  • Each professional hunter (Guide) carries a first aid kit and is trained in first aid
  • South Africa has very good hospitals
  • We are situated in a malaria free area
